THE DEER RUTTING MOON GATHERING

ON SATURDAY, 5TH NOVEMBER 2011

The next gathering of the CAGB will be on Saturday, 5th November 2011 at Doggett's Coat & Badge, 1 Blackfriars Bridge London SE1 9UD

Doggett's Coat & Badge takes its name from the prize that was awarded for an amateur rowing race that first took place almost 300 years ago. The race between London Bridge and Chelsea is 4 miles and 5 furlongs and was organised by Thomas Doggett who presented the winner with a coat and badge. The race still takes place in July of each year. From the Terrace Bar where the CAGB enjoys its luncheon you get an excellent view of St. Paul's Cathedral, the Old Bailey and Blackfriars Bridge.
